Nafplion

One cannot help but be charmed by this town, a beautiful Venetian port, filled with cafes, international shops, museums and beaches. This will be our headquarters while we journey to such notable ancient sites as: the healing center of Epidaurus, the ancient city of Corinth, and the ancient ruins at Mycenae.

Epidaurus

The ancient shrine dedicated to the god of healing, Asklepius, Epidaurus is located in a beautiful setting on the Peloponnese. During our time in Epidaurus, we will visit the sanctuary, museum and ancient amphitheater. Our stay there will introduce us to the ideas of Asklepius, the goddess Hygieia and the ways in which dreams and dreaming were treated in the ancient world. It is here where we will begin our own dream journey with discussion about modern dream theory and how we can utilize both for our own understanding and enrichment. During this time we will be staying at the fully renovated Hotel Rex in Napflion. Napflion is a beautiful seaside village, possessing its own cultural, architectural and historical riches, with a lovely square lined with cafes, shops and services. Close to Nafplion is the ancient site of Corinth, home to the god Apollo, the goddess Aphrodite, and the goddess Athena, where we will stop along the way, absorbing the remains.
