Galaxidi/Delphi

Next stop on the tour is the quaint village of Galaxidi. We will depart the Peloponnesian penninsula, crossing over the Gulf of Corinth which links the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece. Continuing along the northern coastal road of the Peloponnese, across the magnificent new bridge that links to the mainland, we will arrive in Galaxidi, where we will stay for a few days time. Once settled into Galaxidi, we will have more quiet and relaxing days to dream and study and engage in dream discussion, art therapy and experiential practice, at the Ariadne’s Thread Cultural Center. It is here that we may relax and enjoy Galaxidi’s beautiful seaside cafes and beaches. We will make a day trip to nearby Delphi, the village that was the ancient shrine to the earth goddess Gaia, the god Apollo, the goddess Athena, and the god Dionysus, who was said to winter here.

The Island of Cos

The island of Cos is another one of the homes and great sanctuaries to the healing god of dreams, Asklepius. As we began our tour at his shrine in Epidaurus, we will end our tour with a visit to his shrine on the isle of Cos, in the eastern Aegean sea, arriving there by air. It is in these final days of our tour on the island of Cos where we will celebrate the Summer Solstice and the Full Moon, while we engage in our final dream discussions and group practices. The sanctuary to Asklepius on Cos was the site of many ancient gatherings. It is here that we will take with us the wisdom and understanding, to apply in our daily lives. Following our closing ceremony and dinner, participants will fly back to Athens from Cos to board their international flight home. Participants are welcome to stay in Cos or Athens extra days following our group excursion if they wish, as we are working with an Athenian travel company which will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.
