Excerpts from Steven McFadden's talk at Steepings...

SATURN ENTERS LEO, PLUTO REMAINS IN THE LAST DECAN OF SAGITTARIUS

Steven holds up the arrow of truth and asks the audience this: “Who do you think you are, a super star? Well right you are. May you all shine on like the sun and the moon and the stars.”

Pluto at the final 10 degrees of Sagittarius does give us hope. The last 10 degrees of Sagittarius are characterized by the Sun and Leo, and it’s the BEST decan of Sagittarius, where the light pours through.

With Pluto in Sagittarius all these years, you may think of the annihilation of the social contract, for one thing. What’s happening for service people in general as well as veterans, in particular. Part of the social contract is that everyone should have enough to eat.

With Pluto moving through the sign of beliefs and religious issues, we may think of crusades, we may think of jihad. As we have witnessed recently, religious fanaticism lashes out from its own insecurity. Terrorism comes from this religious fanaticism. We may also look at what’s going on with the courts – especially the Supreme Court, where two justices are stepping down and we may wind up with two very right-wing figures, perhaps evangelical figures stepping up, who will hold those jobs for the rest of their lives.

There are culture wars, as well. Are we going to be a Christian nation, or are we going to separate church from state? Between now and 2008, these things will come to a climax.

We are equal to all the challenges being brought up now. Things may be looking a lot darker and more ominous now, but we can rise to meet these challenges and we can transcend them. That’s the ultimate message of Pluto in Sagittarius – bringing the light of the solar spirit to merge with the super conscious faculties of Sagittarius – but you need a vision – something that’s beyond yourself – something that’s beyond your daily world – something that’s guiding you into the future. That’s the whole idea of Pluto moving through Sagittarius. It’s to refine that vision, to clarify it. The vision that we’re following seems unclear, probably to most people in this room. The path seems to lead us right over a cliff. But as Saturn moves into Leo, and as Pluto moves through the Leo decan of Sagittarius, this could be our (especially the Pluto in Leo generation’s) finest hour.

May we all shine on - like the Sun and the Moon and the Stars!"

Excerpts from Genoa Bliven's talk at Steepings...

Ronald Reagan may have taught us that it’s the best line that wins. We now have people in the White House so good at spinning the news, that I am awestruck at how good they are at doing this. And the other thing that amazes me about these people is that is the ONLY thing they are good at! With Saturn in Cancer, it was very easy for these people to manipulate public opinion. There’s a good possibility with Saturn going into Leo that these spins and spinners – will crash. (Great Audience Applause). That Saturn in Leo will bring that type of speculative, maniacal behavior to an end. Because the SPIN is not the TRUTH.

The first chart is Osama bin Laden’s chart. I want to call your attention to the Mars conjunct South Node of the Moon (Ketu). Now, Mars associated with the nodal axis are aspects associated with terrorism. And particularly with Mars at the South Node, it is the aspect of violent UNDOING. You can think of the south lunar node in Vedic Astrology to be somewhat like a giant ball of yarn that comes unraveled. And when you add the power of Mars to it, you have a tremendously powerful coming apart. Individuals born with this aspect can become Zen masters (they whack you with the oar when you’re coming up for the third time and only on the third time will you awaken!) Or, in this type of individual, you can see someone who is a born terrorist.

This next chart is the chart of the father of our current president, who was once our president. Now take a look here – an exact conjunction of Mars with the South Node of the Moon – a natural terrorist. In this case its’ in the sixth house of – Overcoming Enemies – or Not.

The next chart is that of the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City – September 11, 2001: Mars exactly conjunct the South Lunar Node. Now isn’t that amazing?

The next slide is the recent bombing in London. In this chart, Mars is conjunct the North Node of the Moon, almost exactly.

The next slide is the bombing in Madrid – this isn’t as strong or as an exact an aspect, but in this one it’s the Sun that conjuncts bin Laden’s Sun as it’s on his birthday. This is his solar return. And the moment that the bombs went off in Madrid, that Sun was rising. And the Sun of the NYC bombing was just setting, as it was six months from his birthday. The Madrid bombing happened ON his birthday; the NY bombing happened six months from his birthday. I wondered, is this Arabic astrology at work? Is someone planning this for these synchronized cyclical returns, or is it simply that we as humanity are simply tuned into the lower frequency of these planetary vibrations? Because the Mars conjunction to the South Lunar Node is the aspect of unparalleled enlightenment, or the total unraveling of selfishness. Or, the unraveling of everything else.

The next chart is the chart of the Mars/Sun opposition just before 9-11. This one is drawn up for June 13, 2001. This one is set against George Bush’s chart, for 88 days prior to birth, which is something we do in Human Design work. This particular one shows Mars conjunct the South Node right on his ascendant. This was his moment to realize this Mars/South Lunar Node – the born-again terrorist. At this point he said, “it is my mission to do away with terrorism on earth and we are now implementing a war that will not end in your lifetime”. Now, what kind of message is that? That’s a very scary message.

In the Human Design for the London bombing, Mars is on the gate of SHOCK. Mercury is activating the channel of SHOCK INITIATION. It’S highly competitive and it’s called the channel of NEEDING TO BE FIRST. The World Trade Center Building died on its Saturn Return. And, in the unconscious chart of the WTC Building, it was an eclipse. It activated a point called: “The accumulation of perks that draws the retribution of those unfairly deprived” – that’s how precise the Human Design System is. And that is what we are dealing with here. It’s shock initiation. We, here on the planet are going through a phase of intitation. If we deprive people of the privileges that we have, they will, unfortunately, retaliate, plain and simple.

And, as Steven pointed out, with Pluto moving through the last decan of Sagittarius, the Leo decan, and with Saturn entering Leo, perhaps the phoenix will once again rise from the ashes. We may yet prove to the world that we are the people of Thomas Jefferson, we are the people who freed the slaves, who have done so many extraordinary things. And at the same time we’re going through a major initiation. Initiations are usually not a lot of fun. Shock initiation! It’s very very shocking to the higher self that it has a lower self. And, it seems to be real! And it’s equally shocking to the lower self that we have a higher self. And, so what we hope for during this transit of Saturn in Leo is that we have a chance to stop the spin and start telling the truth!
